Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #350352

← בְּיָדִי ⌂ → Eze 37 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 19 Speak to_them thus my_master YHWH he_says HERE I am_about_to_take DOM the_piece_of_wood_of Yōşēf which is_in_the_hand_of ʼEfrayim and_the_tribes_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) mmm and_I_will_put them on/upon/above_him/it DOM the_piece_of_wood_of Yəhūdāh and_I_will_make_them into_a_piece_of_wood one and_they_will_be one in_hand_of_my. (EZE 37:19)

OET-RV: 19 then tell them, ‘The master Yahweh says this: Look, I’m taking Yosef’s branch that’s in Efrayim’s hand along with the tribes of Yisrael his companions, and joining it to Yehudah’s branch, so that they’ll make one branch, and they’ll become one in my hand.’ (EZE 37:19)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
