Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #353284

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 7 And_he/it_said to_me Oh_son_of humankind DOM the_place_of my_throne_of_my and_DOM the_place_of the_soles_of my_feet_of_my where I_will_dwell there in_the_middle the_people_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) forever_perpetuity and_not they_will_defile again the_house_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) the_name_of my_holiness_of_my they and_kings_of_their by_prostitution_of_their and_by_the_corpses_of their_kings_of_their places_of_their_high. (EZE 43:7)

OET-RV: 7 and the voice told me, “Son of humanity, this is the place where I’ll sit on my throne and rest my feet—where I’ll live in the middle of the Israeli people forever. Yisrael’s descendants and their kings will no longer profane my sacred name with their faithlessness or with the corpses of their kings at their hilltop shrines. (EZE 43:7)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘וְאֶת’ (Morphology=C PoS=conjunction
 Morphology=To PoS=direct_object_marker)
is always and only glossed as ‘and_DOM’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘וְ’, ‘אֵת’’ have only one gloss: ‘and=DOM’.
