Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #336030

← אֹתִי ⌂ → Eze 8 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 3 And_he_stretched_out the_form_of a_hand and_he_took_me by_the_hair_of my_head and_ a_spirit _it_carried DOM_me between the_earth/land and_between the_heavens and_it_brought DOM_me to_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) in_visions_of god to the_opening_of the_gate_of the_inner_court which_faces northward_to where was_there the_location_of the_image_of (the)_jealousy which_provokes_to_jealousy. (EZE 8:3)

OET-RV: 3 Then he reached out something in the shape of a hand and took me by my hair—the Spirit lifted me up between earth and the heavens, and in visions from God, he took me to Yerushalem, to the entrance of the inner northern gate, where the idol was that made Yahweh very jealous. (EZE 8:3)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘אֹתִי’ (Morphology=To PoS=direct_object_marker
 Morphology=Sp1cs PoS=pronominal_suffix Person=first Gender=common Number=singular)
