Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 11 And_now give praise to/for_YHWH the_god_of your(pl)_ancestors_of_your(pl) and_do will_of_his and_separate_yourselves from_the_peoples_of the_earth/land and_from the_women (the)_foreign. (EZR 10:11)

OET-RV: 11 Now however, praise Yahweh, the god of your ancestors, and do what he’s commanded us and separate yourselves from the other religions of the peoples in this region, including not marrying their women.” (EZR 10:11)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘הָאָרֶץ’ (Morphology=Td PoS=definite_article
 Morphology=Ncbsa PoS=common_noun Gender=both Number=singular State=absolute)
is always and only glossed as ‘the_earth / land’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘הַ’, ‘אֶרֶץ’’ have only one gloss: ‘the=earth/land’.
