Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #7732

← וְאָנֹכִי ⌂ → Gen 19 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 19 HERE please servant_of_your he_has_found favour in_eyes_of_your and_you_have_made_great loyalty_of_your which you_have_done with_me by_preserving_alive DOM life_of_my and_I not I_am_able to_escape to_the_hill_country lest it_should_cling_to_me the_calamity and_I_will_die. (GEN 19:19)

OET-RV: 19 Listen, you’ve been kind to me and show us mercy by saving my life, but I won’t be able to make it to the hills because the disaster will overtake me and I’ll die. (GEN 19:19)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
