Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 27 in_the_day (the)_that YHWH he_will_visit_judgement with_sword_of_his (the)_fierce and_(the)_great and_(the)_mighty on Livyātān a_snake fleeing and_on Livyātān a_snake twisting and_he_will_slay DOM the_sea_monster which is_in_sea. (ISA 27:1)

OET-RV: 27 At that time, Yahweh will use his extremely powerful sword,
⇔ to punish the slithering sea monster Leviathan—Leviathan the twisting snake-like creature,
⇔ and he’ll kill the monster that’s in the ocean. (ISA 27:1)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
