Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #54753

← וְנָתַן ⌂ → Lev 16 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 18 And_he_will_go_out to the_altar which to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before YHWH and_he_will_make_atonement on/upon/above_him/it and_he/it_will_take some_of_the_blood_of the_bull and_some_of_the_blood_of the_male_goat and_he/it_gave on the_horns_of the_altar all_around. (LEV 16:18)

OET-RV: 18 then he’ll go out to the altar that’s in front of Yahweh and make atonement for that—he must take some of the bull’s blood and some of the goat’s blood and put it on the four projecting corners of the altar. (LEV 16:18)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
