Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #60928

← וּפָדָה ⌂ → Lev 27 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 27 And_if among_livestock (the)_unclean and_he_will_redeem_it by_valuation_of_your and_he_will_add its_of_fifth on/upon/above_him/it and_if not it_will_be_redeemed and_it_will_be_sold by_valuation_of_your. (LEV 27:27)

OET-RV: 27 However, if it’s an ‘unclean’ animal then it must be bought back by paying its valuation plus an additional twenty percent, but if it’s not bought back, then it must be sold at its valuation price. (LEV 27:27)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘וּפָדָה’ (Morphology=C PoS=conjunction
 Morphology=Vqq3ms PoS=qal_verb Type=sequential_perfect_(weqatal) Person=third Gender=masculine Number=singular)
is always and only glossed as ‘and, he_will_redeem_[it]’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘וְ’, ‘פָּדָה’’ have only one gloss: ‘and,he_will_redeem_[it]’.
