Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #48939

← מִמֶּנּוּ ⌂ → Lev 7 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 18 And_if ever_(eaten) any_of_the_meat_of the_sacrifice_of his_peace_offering(s)_of_his it_will_be_eaten in_the_day the_third not he_will_be_accepted the_one_who_presented DOM_him/it not it_will_be_reckoned to_him/it unclean_meat it_will_be and_the_person who_eats from_him/it iniquity_of_its it_will_bear. (LEV 7:18)

OET-RV: 18 If any of that meat from the sacrifice was eaten on the third day, the presenter won’t be accepted and they won’t be forgiven. It is spoilt, and anyone who eats any of it will bear their own guilt. (LEV 7:18)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘מִמֶּנּוּ’ (Morphology=R PoS=preposition
 Morphology=Sp1cp PoS=pronominal_suffix Person=first Gender=common Number=plural)
is always and only glossed as ‘from_him / it’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘מִן’, ‘הוּא’’ have 2 different glosses: ‘from=him/it’, ‘from=it’.
