Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #225985

← לְהַנְחֹתָם ⌂ → Neh 9 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 19 And_you(ms) in_compassion(s)_of_your (the)_great not you_abandoned_them in_wilderness DOM the_pillar_of (the)_cloud not it_departed from_over_them in_daytime to_lead_them in_the_way and_DOM the_pillar_of (the)_fire at_night to_give_light to/for_them and_DOM the_way which they_walked in_it. (NEH 9:19)

OET-RV: 19 you didn’t abandon them in the wilderness because you’re so merciful. You didn’t remove the pillar of cloud that led them on the way during the day, or remove the pillar of fire that shone at night for them to show them which way they should go. (NEH 9:19)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
