Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #258796

← וְיֵבֹשׁוּ ⌂ → Psa 86 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 17 Do with_me a_sign of_goodness so_ those_of_who_hate_me _that_they_may_see and_so_that_they_may_be_ashamed if/because you Oh_YHWH you_have_helped_me and_you_have_comforted_me. (PSA 86:17)

OET-RV: 17 Show me a sign of your favour,
⇔ then those who hate me will see it and be put to shame
⇔ because you, Yahweh, have helped me and comforted me. (PSA 86:17)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
