6:13 God’s certain promise and oath

13When God made promises to Abraham, because he didn’t have anyone more powerful to take an oath in front of, he did it in his own name 14saying: ‘I will certainly bless you and will cause you to have many descendants.’[ref] 15And then after being patient, Abraham received what was promised. 16Yes, people make oaths in front of someone more powerful and then there’s no controversy, because the oath is the confirmation. 17In order for God to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he guaranteed it with an oath 18so that by two things that God can’t even change (his promise and his oath), we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19That hope is an anchor for our souls, being both certain and confirmed, and it will bring us inside the temple curtain[ref] 20where Yeshua went ahead of us according to the order of Melchizedek[ref]becoming the high priest for this age.

13For/Because the to_Abraʼam/(ʼAvərāhām) having_promised the god, because by no_one he_was_having greater to_swear, he_swore by himself 14saying:
If surely blessing, I_will_be_blessing you, and multiplying, I_will_be_multiplying you.
15And thus having_been_patient, he_obtained by_the promise.
16For/Because people by the greater one are_swearing, and of_all to_them controversy an_end is, because/for confirmation the oath given.
17In which more_abundantly wishing the god to_show to_the heirs of_the promise, the unchangeable of_the counsel of_him, guaranteed it by_an_oath, 18in_order_that by two matters unchangeable, in which impossible it_is to_lie the for_god, strong exhortation we_may_be_having, which having_taken_refuge to_take_hold_of of_the lying_before hope, 19which as an_anchor we_are_having of_the soul, certain both and confirmed, and coming_in into the inner side of_the curtain, 20where a_forerunner for us came_in, Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa), according_to the order of_Melⱪisedek/(Maləkkī-ʦedeq), a_chief_priest having_become to the age.
