DefinitionShort: pertaining to a very short period of time, with the probable implication of special haste

        Glosses: ['quick', 'swift']

Comments: It would also be possible to understand ὀξεῖς οἱ πόδες αὐτῶν ‘their feet are swift’ as being an idiom, but ὀξύς occurs frequently in non-biblical Greek with the meaning of ‘quick, swift, soon.’ In {S:04500301500002} οἱ πόδες αὐτῶν is a metonymic expression meaning ‘the people,’ so that it is not simply the feet that are swift to shed blood, but it is the people who are quick to kill.
