Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #195144

← וְאִמְרוּ ⌂ → 1 Chr 16 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 35 And_say save_us Oh_god_of our_salvation_of_our and_gather_us and_deliver_us from the_nations to_give_thanks to_the_name_of your_holiness_of_your to_boast in_praise_of_your. (CH1 16:35)

OET-RV: 35 Then say, “Rescue us, God who’s our saviour,
 ⇔ and bring us together and save us from attacks by other nations,
 ⇔ so that we’ll thank you for your untarnished reputation,
 ⇔ and boast about your praiseworthy actions.” (CH1 16:35)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘וְאִמְרוּ’ (Morphology=C PoS=conjunction
 Morphology=Vqv2mp PoS=qal_verb Type=imperative Person=second Gender=masculine Number=plural)
is always and only glossed as ‘and, say’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘וְ’, ‘אָמַר’’ have only one gloss: ‘and,say’.
