Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #94429

← וְלִהְיֹתְךָ ⌂ → Deu 26 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 19 And_to_set_you most_high above all_of the_nations which he_has_made for_praise and_for_a_name and_for_honour and_you_to_be a_people holy to/for_YHWH god_of_your just_as he_spoke. (DEU 26:19)

OET-RV: 19 and then he’ll make your country greater than all the others that he’s established. You’ll be praised for your reputation and beauty, and you’ll be different from the others—being a sacred people for your god Yahweh, just like he’s said. (DEU 26:19)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
