Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 22 And_he_sent_out documents to all_of the_provinces_of the_king to province and_province according_to_of_its_writing and_near/to people and_people according_to_of_its_language to_be every_of man ruling over_his_own_of_household and_speaking according_to_the_language_of his_people_of_his. (EST 1:22)

OET-RV: 22 They wrote letters to every province using its own alphabet and to each people group in its own language. The letters said that men should be the masters over their wives and children, and that a husband should be able to give orders to his wife in his own language and that she should understand and obey him. (EST 1:22)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘וְאֶל’ (Morphology=C PoS=conjunction
 Morphology=R PoS=preposition)
is always and only glossed as ‘and_near / to’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘וְ’, ‘אֶל’’ have only one gloss: ‘and=near/to’.
