Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #230757

← וְאֶת ⌂ → Est 6 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 10 And_ the_king _he/it_said to_Haman hurry take DOM the_clothing and_DOM the_horse just_as you_have_said and_do so for_Mārəddəkay the_Jew who_sits at_the_gate_of the_king do_not make_fall a_message from_all that you_have_said. (EST 6:10)

OET-RV: 10 The king agreed so he replied to Haman, “Go quickly and take the robe and the horse and do what you’ve just described for Mordekai the Jew who sits by the gate to the palace. Make sure that you do absolutely everything that you’ve said.” (EST 6:10)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘וְאֶת’ (Morphology=C PoS=conjunction
 Morphology=To PoS=direct_object_marker)
is always and only glossed as ‘and_DOM’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘וְ’, ‘אֵת’’ have only one gloss: ‘and=DOM’.
