Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #45214

← וְלֹא ⌂ → Exo 39 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 21 And_they_bound DOM the_breastpiece from_rings_of_its to the_rings_of the_ephod with_a_cord_of violet_stuff to_be on the_girdle_of the_ephod and_not the_breastpiece it_becomes_detached from_under the_ephod just_as YHWH he_had_commanded DOM Mosheh. (EXO 39:21)

OET-RV: 21 They tied the rings on the sacred pouch to the rings on the sacred apron with a blue cord, so that the sacred pouch was above the waistband and would not come loose from the apron. They did these things exactly as Yahweh had instructed Mosheh to do. (EXO 39:21)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘וְלֹא’ (Morphology=C PoS=conjunction
 Morphology=Tn PoS=negative_particle)
is always and only glossed as ‘and_not’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘וְ’, ‘לֹא’’ have only one gloss: ‘and=not’.
