Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #340314

← וּבְרִיתִי ⌂ → Eze 17 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 19 for_so/thus/hence thus my_master YHWH he_says by_the_life of_me if not oath_of_my which he_despised and_covenant_of_my which he_broke and_I_will_give_him/it on_his_own_of_head. (EZE 17:19)

OET-RV: 19 Therefore the master Yahweh says this: ‘As I live, wasn’t it my promise that he despised and my agreement that he broke? Therefore I’ll cause him to be punished for what he did. (EZE 17:19)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
