2 Oh _son _of humankind ask _a _riddle a _riddle and_speak _a _parable a _parable concerning the _house _of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel).

6 And_it _sprouted and_he/it _was (into)_a_vine overhanging low _of stature to_turn branches _of_its to_him/it and_roots _of_its under_it they _were and_it _became (into)_a_vine and_it _produced shoots and_it _sent _out boughs.

7 And_he/it _was an _eagle one great great _of wings and_great _of plumage and_BEHOLD/LO/SEE the_vine (the)_this it _bent roots _of_its on/upon/above_him/it and_branches _of_its it _sent _out for_him/it to_water it from_the _beds _of its _planting _of_her.

8 To a _field good to waters many it was_planted for_doing branch[es] and_to_bear fruit to_be (into)_a_vine _of splendour.

9 say thus my_master he _says YHWH will _it _prosper am_not DOM roots _of_its will _it _pull _up and_DOM fruit _of_its will _it _strip _off and_it _will _wither all _of the _fresh_things_of its _growth _of_her it _will _wither and_not by_an _arm great and_by_a _people numerous to_lift _up it from_roots _of_its.

10 And_BEHOLD/LO/SEE it_is_planted will_it _prosper am_not just_as _touches (in)_it the _wind _of the _east will _it _wither completely _(wither) on the _beds _of its _growth _of_her it _will _wither.

11 and_ the _message _of _he/it _was of_YHWH to_me to_say.

12 Say please to_the _house _of (the)_rebellion not do _you(pl)_know what are_these_things say THERE he _went the _king _of Bāⱱel Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) and_he/it _took DOM king _of_its and_DOM princes _of_its and_he/it _brought them to_him/it to_Bāⱱel.

13 And_he/it _took one_of _the _offspring _of the_royalty and_he _made with_him/it a _covenant and_he/it _brought DOM_him/it in_an _oath and_DOM the _leaders _of the_earth/land he _took.

14 To_be a _kingdom lowly to_not to _exalt _itself to_guard/protect DOM covenant _of_his it_to_continue.

17 And_not with_an _army large and_with_a _company great Parˊoh he _will _do with_him in_battle when_pour _out a _mound and_when_build a _siege-work to_cut _off lives many.

18 And_he _despised the_oath by_breaking the_covenant and_BEHOLD/LO/SEE he _had _given his/its_hand and_all these_things he _did not he _will _escape.

19 for_so/thus/hence thus my_master he _says YHWH by_the _life of _me if not oath _of_my which he _despised and_covenant _of_my which he _broke and_I _will _give_him/it on_his _own _of_head.

20 And_I _will _spread on/upon/above_him/it net _of_my and_he _will _be _caught in_my _hunting _of_net and_I_will _bring _him to_Bāⱱel and_I _will _enter _into _judgement with_him/it there unfaithfulness _of_his which he _has _acted _unfaithfully against_me.

21 And_DOM all _of fugitives _of_his[fn] in_all troops _of_his by_sword they _will _fall and_those_who_survive to/from_all/each/any/every wind they _will _be _scattered and_you(pl)_will _know if/because _that I YHWH I _have _spoken.

22 thus my_master he _says YHWH and_I _will _take I from_the _treetop _of the _cedar (the)_high and_I _will _place_it from_the _top _of its _young _shoots _of_his a _tender_shoot I _will _pluck _off and_I _will _plant_it I on a _mountain high and_lofty.

23 On_the _mountain _of the _height _of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) I_will _plant _it and_it _will _bear branch[es] and_it _will _produce fruit and_it _was (into)_a_cedar majestic and_they _will _dwell under_it every _of bird of _every _of wing in_the _shadow _of its _branches _of_his they _will _dwell.

24 And_ all _of _they _will _know the _trees _of the_field if/because _that I YHWH I _bring _low a _tree tall a _tree I _raise _up low a _tree I _make _dry moist and_ a _tree _I _make _sprout dry I YHWH I _have _spoken and_I _will _act.
