Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #348461

← עַמִּי ⌂ → Eze 33 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 31 And_they_come to_you like_the_coming_of a_people and_they_sit to_your_face people_of_my and_they_hear DOM words/messages_of_your and_them not they_do if/because lustful_desires in_mouth_of_their they are_doing after gain_of_their_unjust heart_of_their is_going. (EZE 33:31)

OET-RV: 31 So my people will come to you, as they often do, and will sit in front of you and listen to your words, but they won’t obey them. The right words are on their lips, but their hearts are going after unjust profit. (EZE 33:31)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
