Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #299190

← הֲרִסֻתֵיךְ ⌂ → Isa 49 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 19 If/because places_of_your_waste and_your(pl)_desolate_of_places and_the_land_of your_destruction_of_your if/because now you_will_be_too_cramped for_the_inhabitant[s] and_ those_of_who_swallowed_you_up _they_will_be_far_away. (ISA 49:19)

OET-RV: 19 Look up because your ruined and desolate places,
 ⇔ and your devastated land,
⇔ will be too cramped for the coming inhabitants,
⇔ and those who swallowed you up will be far away. (ISA 49:19)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
