Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #300912

← בָּהּ ⌂ → Isa 56 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 2 How_blessed is_the_person who_he_does this and_the_child_of humankind who_he_takes_hold on_it who_keeps the_sabbath from_profaning_it and_who_keeps his/its_hand from_doing any_of evil. (ISA 56:2)

OET-RV: 2 Everyone who does that will be blessed,
⇔ and the son of humanity who takes hold of it,
⇔ who observes the rest day—not defiling it,
⇔ and who stays away from doing anything evil. (ISA 56:2)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
