Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #315900

← הַהוּא ⌂ → Jer 25 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 33 And_they_will_be those_slain_of YHWH in_the_day (the)_that from_the_end_of the_earth/land and_unto the_end_of the_earth/land not they_will_be_mourned and_not they_will_be_gathered and_not they_will_be_buried (into)_dung on the_surface_of the_soil they_will_become. (JER 25:33)

OET-RV: 33 Then those killed that day by Yahweh will be spread from one end of the earth to the other. They won’t be mourned over, gathered, or buried—they’ll be like dung lying on the ground. (JER 25:33)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘הַהוּא’ (Morphology=Td PoS=definite_article
