Hebrew wordlink #166924

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 7 And_also by_the_hand_of Yēhūʼ the_son_of Ḩₐnānī the_prophet the_message_of YHWH it_came against Baˊshāʼ and_near/to house_of_his and_on all_of the_evil which he_had_done in/on_both_eyes_of YHWH to_provoke_him_to_anger by_the_work_of his_hands_of_his to_be like_the_house_of Yārāⱱəˊām/(Jeroboam) and_on that he_struck_down DOM_him/it. (KI1 16:7)

OET-RV: 7 Yahweh sent that message via Hanani the prophet’s son Yehu. It was for Baasha and his family—speaking against the evil that they’d done that had provoked Yahweh to get angry with their behaviour which was as bad as Yarave’am’s family had been. Yahweh was also angry with Baasha because he had killed all of Yarave’am’s family. (KI1 16:7)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
