Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #161454

← וְנָתַתָּ ⌂ → 1 Ki 8 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 39 And_you(ms) you_will_hear the_heavens the_place_of your_dwelling and_you_will_forgive and_you_will_act and_you_will_give to_person according_to_all_of ways_of_his whom you_will_know DOM heart_of_his if/because you you_know you_alone DOM the_heart_of all_of the_children_of the_humankind. (KI1 8:39)

OET-RV: 39 then listen to them from your heavenly abode and forgive their sin, and give them what they need. You and you alone are the only one who knows what’s inside a human heart. (KI1 8:39)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
