Hebrew wordlink #172511

← וַיִּקַּח ⌂ → 2 Ki 2 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 14 And_he/it_took DOM the_cloak_of ʼĒliyyāh which it_had_fallen from_on_him and_he_struck DOM the_waters and_he_said where is_YHWH the_god_of ʼĒliyyāh also he and_he_struck DOM the_waters and_they_were_divided hither and_hither and_ ʼElīshāˊ _he_passed_over. (KI2 2:14)

OET-RV: 14 and he took Eliyah’s cloak and hit the river with it, saying, “Where is Eliyah’s god Yahweh?” Then as he hit the water, the river divided into two parts and Elisha crossed through the middle. (KI2 2:14)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
