Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #58686

← בְּמָקוֹם ⌂ → Lev 24 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 9 And_it_will_belong to_ʼAhₐron and_to_sons_of_his and_they_will_eat_it in_a_place holy if/because is_a_holy_thing_of holy_things it to_him/it from_the_fire_offerings_of YHWH a_prescribed_portion_of perpetuity. (LEV 24:9)

OET-RV: 9 Afterwards, it will belong to Aharon and his sons, and they must eat it in a sacred area because it’s a very sacred part of the gifts for Yahweh. That’s a permanent rule. (LEV 24:9)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘בְּמָקוֹם’ (Morphology=R PoS=preposition
 Morphology=Ncmsa PoS=common_noun Gender=masculine Number=singular State=absolute)
is always and only glossed as ‘in, a_place’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘בְּ’, ‘מָקוֹם’’ have only one gloss: ‘in,a_place’.
