Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #78555

← וְנָתַתָּה ⌂ → Num 31 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 30 And_from_the_half_of the_people_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) you_will_take one person_drawn from the_fifty from the_humankind from the_cattle from the_donkeys and_from the_sheep from_all the_cattle/livestock and_you(ms)_will_give DOM_them to_Lēviyyiy who_keep_of (of)_the_service_of the_tabernacle_of YHWH. OET-RV: 30 Then from the half of the plunder given to the community, take one from every fifty captive people, and the same from the cattle and donkeys, and from the sheep and goats and other animals. That’s to be given to the Levites because they’re the ones who look after Yahweh’s residence.” (NUM 31:30)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
