10 Now after Abimelek, Tola (the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, from the tribe of Yissashkar) came on the scene to rescue Israel. He settled in Shamir, in the hill country of Efraim. 2 He led Israel for twenty-three years, then he died and was buried in Shamir.
