OET EPH chapter 6

6 [ref]It’s right for children following the master to obey your parents. 2 [ref]Honour your father and mother (that’s the first commandment that’s followed by a promise) 3 so that things will go well for you and you’ll have a long life on the earth.

4 [ref]Fathers, don’t provoke your children to anger, but bring them up caringly and teach them disciplines and instructions from the master.

6 The children, be _submitting to _the parents of _you _all in the_master, because/for this is right.
2 Be _honouring the father of _you and the mother (which is command the_first with a_promise), 3 in _order _that well with _you it _may _become, and you _will _be a_long _time on the earth.
4 And, the fathers, not be _angering the children of _you _all, but be _nurturing them in the_discipline and admonition of_the_master.

6:5 Slaves and masters

5 [ref]Slaves, submit to your human masters with respect and fear, being sincere in your hearts as if serving the messiah. 6 Don’t just please them when they’re watching, but work as slaves of the messiah, genuinely wanting to obey God 7 by serving the master with good will. When you serve as if serving the master and not people, 8 whether you’re a slave or free, it’s him who will reward you.

9 [ref]Masters, do the same towards your slaves. You know that both the slaves and you have the same master in the heavens, so don’t threaten them because our master has no favourites.

5 The slaves, be _submitting to _your according _to flesh masters with respect and trembling, in sincerity of _the heart of _you _all as to _the chosen _one /messiah, 6 not with eyeservice as men _pleasing, but as slaves of_chosen _one /messiah, doing the will of_ the _god from the_heart, 7 with good _will serving as to _the master, and not to _people, 8 having _known that if may _do each good, this he _will _be _receiving _back from the_master, whether slave or free.
9 And, the masters, the same things be _doing toward them, giving _up the threat, having _known that both of _them and of _you _all the Master is in the_heavens, and favouritism not is with him.

6:10 Wear God’s armour

10 Concluding then, be enabled by the master and from the power which comes from his strength. 11 Wear God’s complete armour because it will enable you to stand up against the devil’s schemes. 12 Our struggle isn’t against people, but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this world’s darkness, and the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. 13 Because of that, make use of every piece of God’s armour so that you’ll be able to resist those powers in the evil day and having done everything, to remain standing.

14 [ref]So then, stand with the belt of truth around your waist, wearing the breastplate of righteousness, 15 [ref]and ready your feet with the good message of peace. 16 Whatever arises, hold up the shield of faith which you all will be able to use to extinguish all the fiery arrows of the evil one. 17 [ref]Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of God’s spirit which is the message from God.

10 Of _the rest, be _being _enabled, in the_master and in the power of _the strength of _him.
11 Dress _in the whole _armor of_ the _god, because/for that to _be _able you _all to _stand against the schemings of _the devil.
12 Because not is to _us the wrestling against blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world _rulers of_ the _darkness this, against the spiritual of_ the _wickedness in the heavenly realms.
13 Because _of this, take _up the whole _armor of_ the _god, in _order _that you _all _may _be _able to _resist in the day the evil, and all things having _produced, to _stand.
14 Therefore stand:
having _girded _about the waist of _you _all with truth, and having _dressed _in the breastplate of_ the _righteousness, 15 and having _shod your feet with the_readiness of _the good _message of_ the _peace.
16 In all things having _taken _up the shield of_ the _faith, with which you _all _will _be _able all the arrows of _the evil one having _been _burned to _extinguish.
17 And the helmet of_ the _salvation receive, and the sword of _the spirit, which is the_message of_god,

6:18 Praying for fellow believers

18 Make your requests as you pray in the spirit at every occasion and similarly staying alert and persevering as you make requests on behalf of all the dedicated believers 19 and also ask on my behalf for God to give me words to say as I open my mouth to boldly teach the good message about God’s incredible plan 20 that’s led me as an missionary to now be in prison. Ask that I would speak boldly as I should.

18 by all prayer and petition, praying in every season in the_spirit, and to the_same thing, watching with all perseverance and petition for all the holy ones, 19 and for me, in _order _that to _me may _be _given speech in the_opening of _the mouth of _me, with boldness to _make _known the mystery of _the good _message, 20 for which I _am _being _an _ambassador in a_chain, in _order _that in it I _may _speak _boldly, as it _is _fitting me to _speak.

6:21 Update

21 [ref]Now Tychicus, a dear brother and faithful servant of our master, will let you know about me and how I’m doing. 22 I’ve sent him to you for that reason—so that you all will know about us here and that he would comfort your hearts.

21 But in _order _that may _have _known also you _all the things concerning me, what I _am _doing, all things will _be _making _known to _you _all Tuⱪikos, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the_master, 22 whom I _sent to you _all for same thing this, in _order _that you _all _may _know the things concerning us, and he _may _comfort the hearts of _you _all.

6:23 Blessings

23 Peace, love, and faith to the brothers and sisters from God the father and from Yeshua the messiah. 24 Grace to all who love our master, Yeshua the messiah, with a love that won’t decay.
