8:5 Yeshua heals a Roman’s slave

(Luke 7:1-10)

5When Yeshua arrived in Capernaum, a Roman army commander approached him and begged him, 6saying, “Master, I have a slave who’s paralysed and had to kept in bed because he’s being badly tormented.”

7I’ll come and heal him,” Yeshua answered.

8“But master,” the commander replied, “I’m not worthy that you should come to my house, but just give the command and my slave will be healed, 9because I’m also a man given a position under authority with soldiers under me, and I tell this one, ‘Come here,’ and he comes, and tell my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.

10Yeshua was amazed when he heard that and said to his followers around him, “I can assure you that I haven’t discovered faith like this from any Israeli. 11[ref]I’m telling you that many people from all over the world will come and join Abraham and Isaac and Yacob at the table in the kingdom of the heavens, 12[ref]but the ones who thought they were the true children will be thrown out into the distant darkness where there’ll be crying and regrets. 13Then he said to the commander, “Go then and it will happen according to your faith,” and his slave was healed that very moment.

5And of_him having_come_in into Kafarnaʼoum, a_centurion approached to_him imploring him 6and saying, master, the paralytic servant of_me has_been_laid in the house, being_tormented terribly.
7And he_is_saying to_him:
I having_come, will_be_healing him.
8And the centurion answering was_saying:
master, I_am not worthy that you_may_come_in under the roof of_me, but only speak by_the_message and the servant of_me will_be_being_healed.
9For/Because I also am a_man being_appointed under authority, having soldiers under myself, and I_am_saying to_this one:
Be_gone, and he_is_going, and to_another:
Be_coming, and he_is_coming, and to_the slave of_me:
Do this, and he_is_doing it.
10And the Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) having_heard, marvelled and said to_the ones following:
Truly, I_am_saying to_you_all, I_found so_much faith from no_one in the Israaʸl/(Yisəʼēl).
11And I_am_saying to_you_all that many from east and west will_be_coming and will_be_being_reclined with Abraʼam/(ʼAvərāhām), and Isaʼak/(Yiʦəḩāq), and Yakōb/(Yaˊaqov), in the kingdom of_the heavens, 12but the sons of_the kingdom will_be_being_thrown_out into the the outer darkness, there will_be the weeping and the grating of_ the _teeth.
13And the Yaʸsous said to_the centurion:
Be_going, let_it_be_become with_you as you_believed.
And the servant was_healed in that the hour.
