1:1 1 The Thessalonians are giuen to vnderstand both how mindfull of them S. Paul was at all times in thanks-giuing, & prayer: 5 and also how well he was perswaded of the truth, and sinceritie of their faith, & conuersion to God. (Chapter introduction)

2:1 In what manner the Gospel was brought and preached to the Thessalonians, and in what sort also they receiued it. 18 A reason is rendred both why Saint Paul was so long absent from them, and also why hee was so desirous to see them. (Chapter introduction)
