Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 14 And_she/it_said to_him/it Zeresh his/its_wife/woman and_all friends_of_his let_people_make a_gallows high fifty cubit[s] and_in_morning speak to/for_the_king and_people_will_hang DOM Mārəddəkay on/upon/above_him/it and_go with the_king to the_feast joyful and_ the_message _it_was_good to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before Haman and_he/it_made the_tree. (EST 5:14)

OET-RV: 14 Then Zeresh his wife and all his friends said to him, “Get them to install 25-metre high pole, and in the morning get permission from the king, and get them to impale Mordekai on it. Then you can go with the king to the banquet and enjoy yourself.”
 ¶ That idea sounded good to Haman, so he got the pole erected. (EST 5:14)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘לִפְנֵי’ (Morphology=R PoS=preposition
 Morphology=Ncbpc PoS=common_noun Gender=both Number=plural State=construct)
is always and only glossed as ‘to_(the)_face_of / in_front_of / before’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘לְ’, ‘פָּנֶה’’ have only one gloss: ‘to=(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before’.
