Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #36650

← זִבְחִי ⌂ → Exo 23 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 18 Not you_must_sacrifice with leaven the_blood_of my_sacrifice_of_my and_not the_fat_of my_festival_sacrifice_of_my it_will_remain_overnight until morning. (EXO 23:18)

OET-RV: 18 You mustn’t sacrifice the blood of my sacrifices together with bread that’s been risen, and all the fat must be burnt during the night so that none remains in the morning. (EXO 23:18)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘זִבְחִי’ (Morphology=Ncmsc PoS=common_noun Gender=masculine Number=singular State=construct
 Morphology=Sp1cs PoS=pronominal_suffix Person=first Gender=common Number=singular)

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘זֶבַח’, ‘הוּא’’ have 2 different glosses: ‘my_sacrifice_of,my’, ‘sacrifice_of,my’.
