Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 18 And_because/when YHWH he_raised_up to/for_them judges and_it_was YHWH with the_judge and_he_delivered_them from_the_hand_of their_enemies_of_their all_of the_days_of the_judge if/because YHWH he_had_compassion from_groaning_of_their from_face/in_front_of those_of_who_oppressed_them and_those_of_who_oppressed_them. (JDG 2:18)

OET-RV: 18 Whenever Yahweh gave them a leader, he would support that leader and would save them from their enemies during that leader’s life, because he pitied the people when they groaned from being tormented and oppressed. (JDG 2:18)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
