Hebrew wordlink #113248

← וַיֵּרְדוּ ⌂ → Jdg 3 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 28 And_he/it_said to_them pursue after_me if/because YHWH he_has_given DOM enemies_of_your(pl) DOM Mōʼāⱱ in_hand_of_your(pl) and_they_went_down after_him and_they_captured DOM the_fords_of the_Yardēn/(Jordan) to_Mōʼāⱱ and_not they_permitted anyone to_pass_over. (JDG 3:28)

OET-RV: 28 “Follow after me,” he told them, “because Yahweh will enable you all to defeat your enemies, the Moabites.” So they followed him down to the Yordan river and captured the fords opposite Moab, thus preventing anyone from crossing. (JDG 3:28)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
