Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 15 And_if is_displeasing in_eyes_of_your(pl) to_serve DOM YHWH choose to/for_you(pl) the_day DOM whom will_you_serve whether DOM the_gods which ancestors_of_your(pl) they_served who in/on/at/with the_river and_if DOM the_gods_of the_ʼAmorī whom you(pl) are_dwelling in_land_of_their and_I and_household_of_my we_will_serve DOM YHWH. (JOS 24:15)

OET-RV: 15 But if you all dislike serving Yahweh, then choose for yourselves today who you will serve: perhaps the gods your fathers once served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorite people in whose land you are now living. But as for me and my household, we will serve Yahweh.” (JOS 24:15)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘וְאִם’ (Morphology=C PoS=conjunction
 Morphology=C PoS=conjunction)
is always and only glossed as ‘and_if’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘וְ’, ‘אִם’’ have only one gloss: ‘and=if’.
