Open English Translation (OET)

Hebrew wordlink #163923

← בִדְרָכַי ⌂ → 1 Ki 11 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 38 And_it_was if you_will_listen_to DOM all_of that I_will_command_you and_you_will_walk in_ways_of_my and_you_will_do the_right in_eyes_of_my by_observing regulations_of_my and_commands_of_my just_as Dāvid servant_of_my he_did and_I_will_be with_you and_I_will_build to/for_yourself(m) a_house enduring just_as I_built for_Dāvid and_I_will_give to/for_yourself(m) DOM Yisrāʼēl/(Israel). (KI1 11:38)

OET-RV: 38 Then if you’ll listen to everything that I command you, and walk on the right path and do what pleases me and keep my statutes and my commands, just like my servant David did, then I’ll be with you. I’ll establish a dynasty for you just like I did for David, and I’ll give Yisrael to you. (KI1 11:38)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
