Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 24 And_now by_the_life of_YHWH who he_appointed_me and on the_throne_of Dāvid father_of_my and_which he_has_made to_me a_house just_as he_spoke if/because the_day ʼAdoniyyāh he_will_be_put_to_death. (KI1 2:24)

OET-RV: 24 And now as Yahweh lives, the one who established me and caused me to sit on the throne of my father David, and who promised David’s descendants to continue reigning, Adoniyah will certainly be put to death today.” (KI1 2:24)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.

The word form ‘וַאֲשֶׁר’ (Morphology=C PoS=conjunction
 Morphology=Tr PoS=relative_particle)
is always and only glossed as ‘and_which’.

The various word forms of the root word (lemma) ‘Lemmas=‘וְ’, ‘אֲשֶׁר’’ have only one gloss: ‘and=which’.
