Hebrew wordlink #185485

← וַיַּרְא ⌂ → 2 Ki 23 ║ ═

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 16 And_ Yʼoshiyyāh/(Josiah) _he_turned and_he/it_saw DOM the_graves which were_there on_mountain and_he_sent and_he/it_took DOM the_bones from the_graves and_he_burnt_them on the_altar and_he_made_it_unclean according_to_the_message_of YHWH which the_man_of the_ʼElohīm who he_proclaimed DOM the_words/messages the_these he_had_proclaimed. (KI2 23:16)

OET-RV: 16 As Yoshiyah turned around, he noticed some graves that were there on the hillside, so he had some bones removed from the graves, and he burnt them on the altar to desecrate it. This fulfilled what Yahweh had said through the man of God who’d proclaimed these things. (KI2 23:16)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
