Christ’s Passion Foretold
(Matthew 16:21–23, Luke 9:21–22)
Then He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and [that] He must be killed and after three days rise [again]. 32 He spoke [this] message quite frankly, and Peter took Him aside [and] began to rebuke Him.
33But [Jesus], turning and looking at His disciples, rebuked Peter [and] said,“Get behind Me, Satan! For vvv you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”
34
