Hebrew wordlink #371333

Key: khaki:verbs.
Bold in each verse marks the word or words linked to that example’s source word, where an alignment is available.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong). An unbolded RV line may have no alignment for this word. See the OET key for other text colours and marks.

OET-LV: 8 And_he/it_was just_ the_sun _as_arose and_ god _he/it_assigned a_wind_of an_east_wind hot and_ the_sun _it_struck on the_head_of Yōnāh/(Jonah) and_he_became_faint and_he_asked DOM life_of_his to_die and_he/it_said is_good death_of_my more_than_of_my_life. (JNA 4:8)

OET-RV: 8 And when the sun came up, God sent a hot east wind and the sun beat on Yonah’s head. He became faint and asked for his life to end and said, “It’s better for me to die than to live.” (JNA 4:8)

Note: These word pages enable you to click through to the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) that the Open English Translation Old Testament is translated from. The OSHB is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC). (We are still searching for a digitized facsimile of the Leningradensis manuscript that we can easily link to. See this list and this archive for now.) This is all part of the commitment of the Open English Translation team to be transparent about all levels of the Bible translation process right back to the original manuscripts.
