AICNT 2COR Chapter 6

COR 6 ©

And working together, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain; 2for he says, “In an acceptable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I helped you.”[fn]

Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation: 3giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry may not be discredited, 4but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in great endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, 5in beatings, in imprisonments, in disturbances, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings, 6in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love, 7in the word of truth, in the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, 8through glory and dishonor, through slander and praise; as deceivers and yet true, 9as unknown and yet well-known, as dying and behold, we live, as disciplined and yet not put to death, 10as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing everything.

Our mouth has spoken openly to you, Corinthians, our heart is wide open. 12You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted in your own affections. 13Now in the same way as a fair exchange, I speak as to children, open wide your hearts also.

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, {or}[fn] what fellowship has light with darkness?

What agreement has Christ with Belial,[fn] or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?

What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For {we}[fn] are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”[fn]

“Therefore, come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord, and “do not touch anything unclean; and I will receive you.”[fn]

“And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me,” says the Lord Almighty.[fn]
