15‘A sound is heard at Ramah,
a wail, a passion of tears--
’tis Rachel sobbing for her children,
sobbing for her children gone,
refusing to be comforted.
16But cease your sobbing,
stay your eyes from tears;
your labour for the children is not lost,
they shall return from the land of their foes;
17there is hope for you in days to come,
your children shall return--the Eternal promises.’ ”
