9:35 King Shaul’s ancestors and descendants

(1 Chr. 8:29-38)

35Another descendant of Benyamin was Yeiel. He was a founder of Gibeon city and lived there. His wife was Maakah. 36His oldest son was Avdon, and his other sons were Tsur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadav, 37Gedor, Ahyo, Zekaryah, and Miklot. 38Miklot was the father of Shimeam. They also lived near their relatives in Yerushalem.

39Ner was the father of Kish. Kish was the father of King Shaul (Saul). Shaul was the father of Yonatan (Jonathan), Malki-Shua, Avinadav, and Esh-Baal. 40Yonatan’s son was Meriv-Baal. Meriv-Baal was the father of Mikah. 41Mikah’s sons were Piton, Melek, and Tahrea. 42Ahaz was the father of Yarah. Yarah was the father of Alemet, Azmavet, and Zimri. Zimri was the father of Motsa. 43Moza was the father of Binea. Refayah was Binea’s son. Eleasah was Refayah’s son. Atsel was Eleasah’s son.

44Atsel had six sons named Azrikam, Bokeru, Yishmael, Shearyah, Ovadyah, and Hanan.
