This is still a very early look into the unfinished text of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check the text in advance before using in public.

The rebellious child

21:18 The rebellious child

18If a person has a stubborn, rebellious son who won’t listen to the voice of his parents, and they tell him off, but he still won’t listen to them, 19then his parents must physically bring him to the elders at the gate of his hometown. 20Then they must tell those elders, “Our son is stubborn and rebellious and pays no attention to what we say—he’s a glutton and a drunkard.” 21Then all the men from that place must execute him by throwing rocks at him, thus removing that evil from among you. Then everyone in Yisrael will hear about it and be afraid to imitate him.
