The Second Book of the Chronicles 27

27A son of 25 years was Jotham when he became king. And 16 years he reigned in Jerusalem. And the name of his mother was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok. 2And he did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that Uzziah his father did, except he did not go into the temple of Yahweh. And yet the people were acting corruptly. 3He himself built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh, and on the wall of Ophel he built in abundance. 4And cities he built in the hill country of Judah, and in the forests he built fortresses and towers. 5And he himself fought with the king of the sons of Ammon, and he was strong over them. And the sons of Ammon gave to him in that year 100 talents of silver, 10,000 kors of wheat, and 10,000 barley. This the sons of Ammon brought back to him, and in the second year and the third. 6And Jotham strengthened himself for he established his ways before Yahweh his God. 7And the remainder of the matters of Jotham, and all his battles and his ways, behold, they are written on the scroll of the king of Israel and Judah. 8A son of 25 years he was when he became king; and 16 years he reigned in Jerusalem. 9And Jotham laid down with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
