1:67 Zacharias’ prophecy about Yohan

67 Then the boy’s father, Zacharias, became filled with the holy spirit and prophesied,

68 “Blessed is the master, the god of Israel,

because he visited us and made a way for his people to be freed from slavery.

69 He brought us a voice that would lead to our salvation,

us citizens of the nation of King David, his servant

70 (as he spoke via the mouths of his holy prophets through the ages).

71 He saved us from our enemies,

and from the power of all the ones hating us,

72 to show mercy to our ancestors

and to remind them of his holy agreement,

73 that he had promised Abraham, our ancestor, that he would give us.

74 He rescued us from the power of our enemies,

so we could serve him without fear,

75 committed to obeying him

for the rest of our lives.

76 [ref]And you too my little child, will be called a prophet of the highest one—

going before the master to prepare his paths,

77 to give knowledge about salvation to his people

so their sins can be forgiven

78 because God has compassion on us and mercy.

Thus the light from heaven will visit us

79 [ref]to shine on those in darkness and sitting in the shadow of death;

to guide us onto the road of peace.”

80 The young boy grew and his spirit was also strengthened, and he lived in the wilderness until he started his ministry to the people of Israel.

67 And Zaⱪarias the father of _him, was _filled with_the_ holy _spirit and prophesied saying, 68 Blessed is the_master the god of_ the _Israaʸl/(Yisərā^ʼēl), because he _visited and established redemption for _the people of _him, 69 and raised a_horn of _salvation for _us, in the_house of _Dawid/(Dāvid), the_servant of _him, 70 (as he _spoke by mouth the holy prophets of _him of the_age), 71 salvation from of_the_enemies of _us, and from the_hand of _all the ones hating us, 72 to _perform mercy with the fathers of _us, and to _be _reminded of_the_ holy _covenant of _him, 73 the_oath which he _swore to Abraʼam/(ʼAvərāhām), the father of _us, which to _give to _us 74 having _been _rescued out _of the_hand of_^our_enemies, to _be_ fearlessly, _serving unto _him 75 in devoutness and righteousness before him, for _all the days of _us.
76 And you also, little _child, will _be _being _called the_prophet of_the_highest:
for you _will _be _going _before before the_master to _prepare the_ways of _him, 77 which to _give knowledge of _salvation to _the people of _him, in forgiveness of _sins of _them, 78 because _of the_compassions of_the_mercy of_god of _us, in which the_rising from height will _be _visiting us, 79 to _shine _upon upon _the ones in darkness and sitting in_the_shadow of _death, which to _direct the feet of _us into the_way of _peace.
80 And the little _child was _growing and was _being _strengthened in _spirit, and was in the wildernesss until the_day of _appearance of _him to the Israaʸl/(Yisərā^ʼēl).
