17:1 Forgiving sin

(Mark 9:42, Mat. 18:6-7)

17Then Yeshua told his followers, “It’s impossible that temptations will disappear, but a bad future awaits whoever brings them. 2If would be better if that person had a heavy weight tied to them and got thrown into the sea than if they cause a younger one to stumble. 3[ref]Take great care.

If a fellow-believer disobeys God, scold them, and then if they stop and request forgiveness, forgive them. 4Even if they wrong you seven times in a day and then seven times come and tell you that they’re turning away from it, forgive them.

17And he_said to the apprentices/followers of_him:
It_is impossible of_which the temptations to_ not _come, however woe to_him by whom it_is_coming.
2It_is_improving for_him if a_ milling _stone is_hung_around around the neck of_him, and he_has_been_thrown_down into the sea, than that he_may_stumble of_ the one these _little ones.
3Be_taking_heed to_yourselves.
If the brother of_you may_sin, give_rebuke to_him, and if he_may_repent, forgive to_him.
4And if he_may_sin against you seven_times in_the day, and seven_times he_may_return to you, saying I_am_repenting, you_will_be_forgiving to_him.

17:5 Growing faith

5Then the apprentices requested the master, “Give us more faith.” 6If you all had faith like a small mustard seed,” the master replied, “you would be able to order a mulberry bush, ‘Get out of the ground and plant yourself in the sea,’ and it would obey you all.

5And the ambassadors said to_the master:
Add faith to_us.
6And the master said:
If you_all_are_having faith as a_seed of_mustard, you_all_ would _were_saying to_ the _mulberry_tree this:
Be_uprooted and be_planted in the sea, and it_ would _submitted to_you_all.

17:7 The work of a slave

7Imagine that you had a slave that was out in the field ploughing or looking after the sheep. When he came back to the house, which of you would tell him, ‘The meal’s ready so come in now and sit down to eat.’ 8No, you’d be saying, ‘Get the meal ready for me and then after you’ve changed, come and wait on me as I eat and drink, then after that you can eat and drink.’ 9And no, slaves don’t get thanked for just doing what they’ve been told to do. 10So too when you all do what you’ve been told to do, just say, ‘We are useless slaves—we’ve just done what we were told.’

7And which of you_all having a_slave, plowing or shepherding, who having_come_in out_of the field will_be_saying to_him:
Having_come_up immediately sit_down to_eat?
8But not he_will_be_saying to_him:
Prepare what I_may_dine, and having_girded_about be_serving unto_me, until I_may_eat and I_may_drink, and after these things you will_be_eating and will_be_drinking?
9Is_ not _having thankfulness to_the slave, because he_did the things having_been_directed?
10Thus also you_all whenever you_all_may_do all the things having_been_directed to_you_all, be_saying, we_are that Useless slaves, we_have_done what we_were_ought to_do.

17:11 Yeshua heals ten lepers

11Soon it was time to continue on towards Yerusalem and so they walked through Galilee and Samaria. 12In one village, they came across ten men with leprosy, who stood back at a distance 13and called out, “Yeshua, master, show mercy to us.”

14[ref]When he saw them, Yeshua called back, “Go and ask the priests to inspect you.So they went off, and as they were walking, they were healed. 15One of them, seeing that his skin was healed, came back and could be heard loudly praising God, 16and he knelt down in front of Yeshua and thanked him. This man was from Samaria. 17Weren’t there ten of you that were healed?Yeshua asked. “Where’s the other nine? 18Have none of them returned to praise God—only this foreigner?19Then he told him, “Get up and go now. Your faith has healed you.

11And it_became at the time to_be_going to Hierousalaʸm/(Yərūshālayim), and because_of he was_passing_through the_midst of_Samareia/(Shomərōn) and Galilaia/(Gālīl).
12And on_coming_in of_him into a_certain village, met ten leprous men, who stood from_afar.
13And they lifted_up ^their_voice saying:
Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa), master, show_mercy to_us.
14And having_seen them, he_said to_them:
Having_been_gone show yourselves to_the priests.
And it_became at the time to_be_going to_them, they_were_cleansed.
15And one of them having_seen that he_was_healed, returned with a_ loud _voice glorifying the god, 16and he_fell on ^his_face before the feet of_him, giving_thanks to_him, and he was a_from_Samareia/(Shomərōn).
17And the Yaʸsous answering said:
/Were/_ not _cleansed the ten?
But where are the nine?
18Not were_they_found having_returned to_give glory to_ the _god, except not/lest the this foreigner?
19And he_said to_him:
Having_stood_up, be_going, the faith of_you has_healed you.

17:20 God’s kingdom

(Mat. 24:23-28)

20One time Yeshua was approached by some from the Pharisee party and asked when God’s kingdom is coming, and he answered, “The arrival of God’s kingdom is not some visible thing, 21and they won’t be shouting, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’, because you see, God’s kingdom is inside you all.

22Then he told his followers, “The time will come when you’ll be wanting to see humanity’s child again even for a day, but you won’t see him. 23Some people will tell you all, ‘Look, there he is!’ or ‘Hey, here he is!’ but don’t go looking or following them 24because when humanity’s child returns, it’ll be like lightning that flashes from one side of the sky and shines right across to the other side. 25However, before that he needs to suffer many things and to be rejected by this generation. 26[ref]The time of the return of humanity’s child will be just like it was in Noah’s time: 27[ref]people were eating and drinking, and getting engaged and married right until that day when Noah went into the barge and the flood came and destroyed everything. 28[ref]It was similar in Lot’s time: people were eating and drinking, and buying and selling, and planting and building, 29but on the day that Lot walked out of Sodom, fire and sulphur rained down from the sky and destroyed everything. 30So that’s how it will be when humanity’s child is revealed.

31[ref]On that day, anyone who’s just outside the house should not go back in to get their valuables. Similarly, anyone who’s out on the farm shouldn’t return to the house to get their possessions. 32[ref]Don’t forget the disaster that happened to Lot’s wife. 33[ref]Anyone who tries to save their live will lose it, and anyone who’s sacrificed their lifestyle, will retain life. 34I’m telling you, two people will be in one bed on that night and one will be taken and the other one will be left behind. 35Two people will be preparing food at the same place and one will be taken and the other one will be left behind.

36 37“Where will this happen, master,” they asked.

Where the body is,” he answered, “that’s where the vultures will be gathering.

20And having_been_asked by the Farisaios_party when the kingdom of_ the _god is_coming, he_answered to_them and said, the kingdom of_ the _god Is_ not _coming with observation, 21nor will_they_be_saying:
Behold, here it_is, or:
There it_is.
For/Because see, the kingdom of_ the _god is inside of_you_all.
22And he_said to the apprentices/followers:
Days will_be_coming when you_all_will_be_desiring to_see one of_the days of_the son of_ the _Man, and you_all will_ not _be_seeing it.
23And they_will_be_saying to_you_all:
Behold, there he_is, or:
Behold, here he_is, you_all_may_ not _go_away nor you_all_may_pursue.
24For/Because as the lightning flashing from the one_part under the sky is_shining to the one_part under sky, thus the son of_ the _man will_be.
25But first it_is_fitting him to_suffer many things, and to_be_rejected by the this generation.
26And as it_became in the days of_Nōe/(Noaḩ), thus it_will_be also in the days of_the son of_ the _Man:
27they_were_eating, they_were_drinking, they_were_marrying, they_were_being_betrothed, until that day Nōe came_in into the box, and the flood came and destroyed all.
28Likewise as it_became in the days of_Lōt/(Lōţ):
they_were_eating, they_were_drinking, they_were_buying, they_were_selling, they_were_planting, they_were_building, 29but in_that day Lōt/(Lōţ) came_out from Sodoma/(Şədom), fire and brimstone rained from the_sky and destroyed all.
30These things it_will_be according_to in_that day, the son of_ the _man is_being_revealed.
31In that the day, who will_be on the housetop, and the goods of_him in his house, him_let_ not _come_down to_take_away them, and the one in the_field, likewise him_let_ not _return to the things back.
32Be_remembering about_the wife of_Lōt/(Lōţ).
33Whoever if may_seek to_procure the life of_him, will_be_losing it, and whoever wishfully may_lose it, will_be_keeping_ it _alive.
34I_am_saying to_you_all, in_this the night will_be two on one bed, the one will_be_being_taken, and the other will_be_being_left.
35Two will_be grinding at the same place, the one will_be_being_taken, and the the_other will_be_being_left.
36 37And answering they_are_saying to_him:
Where, master?
And he said to_them:
Where the body is, there also the vultures will_be_being_gathered_together.
